“Chris Paul Harman, Canadian composer and Chair of the School's Department of Music Research, will moderate a round-table discussion with the five competition finalists prior to the concert and prize gala on September 29. The discussion will focus on what it means to be an emerging composer, and will be followed by a reception.

FINALIST in the Graham Sommer Competition for Young Composers
I was selected as one of the five finalists in the inaugural Graham Sommer Competition for Young Composers. I will compose a work for piano quintet (piano and string quartet) which will be premiered in concert by pianist Sara Laimon and the Molinari Quartet, on September 29, 2018 at Pollack Hall at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University. The work will be judged in front of a live panel.

I was one of the composer fellows at the Composer Institute of the 15th Seal Bay Festival of American Chamber Music in Maine, USA. Activities included masterclasses with Augusta Read Thomas, Daniel S. Godfrey, and Victoria Bond, as well as workshops with the Cassatt String Quartet.
Birds, Reincarnate (2016) (listen to the recording HERE) was performed by the Cassatt String Quartet in Vinalhaven, Maine.
